Designing Logo

In an earlier blog, I chose 'Enórasi design' as the name for my hypothetical company.   This is a Greek word which I felt would go well with a Greek style of architecture; I wanted this name to be reflected in my logo design. My first idea was to experiment and lean into the interior design aspect and try to make the logo design a more architectural one. I also wanted it to look both angular and professional.  I aimed to be clever with the design, so my first attempt was to create the shape of a cube, through a series of strategically placed lines.  I liked the look of the logo but I felt it was quite generic because it is hard to give your company a unique personality just using a cube shape.

I wanted to use the Greek aesthetic to match the shaping of letters of my company name. I, therefore, carefully selected some of the Greek letters from the name and combined them into the design.  I ended up combining all the letters apart from A, R and S.  Following a couple of attempts, I finally settled on the design, as indicated below:

I am quite proud of the fact that I was able to make the square in the middle of the design reminiscent of a building, as well as how I was able to incorporate the curves and angular shapes of Greek architecture.
