I spent the remaining of yesterday evening setting up the scene I would use in my VR test. My past experiences using the Building made building the structure relatively simple, as all I needed to make it was simple 3D shapes such as cubes, cylinders, and spheres. I make some changes to my intended layout throughout the process, such as reducing the number of pillars surrounding the building and adding a dome to the top.
This was the result:
After setting up the layout, I moved onto the process of installing the plugin that would allow me to transport my scene to Unreal Engine. I found an official Unreal Engine video detailing how to get the plugin, but when I clicked on the link to the download page, I was greeted with this error page:
As well as the link to the download page, the description also provided a link to a set of actions I could perform to fix the error message. This method required me to create a Github account, which I would then need to link to my Epic Games account. The process was simple in theory, but in practice was a bit of a headache, and in the end it didn't seem to work. I tried looking elsewhere for possible fixes, but was unsuccessful.
Because it was late, I thought that the best course of action was to shut down my computer and try it the next day. I later realised that I had made a mistake when I found a verification email that I had completely missed.
