Independent Project: Making the Mood Board

Today I began filling out the Design Ideas section of my project prospectus. I started by including the development pictures for my logo, which were saved on my PC when I was making the logo production blog last week. After putting in the images, I included some text above them to explain their relevance.

I already had a good idea of what I wanted to include in my Mood Board, including pictures of gallery architecture, what style my pieces would be in, and the types of textures that would be prevalent in my virtual gallery.

At the beginning, I only intended to make one mood board featuring all of these elements, but as I found more and more images, I realised there wasn't enough space on the page to include everything I wanted. In order to make my Mood Board more thorough, I decided that it would be best to split it up into several mood boards which individually focused on each subject.

Even with three different mood boards, I still found it quite easy to fill them with images:

Mood Board 1

Mood Board 2

Mood Board 3

While I was gathering images, I made sure to preserve all their links in the bibliography section. I then gathered them and the links for the other images in the document, and put them in an image specific category, which would make it more understandable to the reader which references were for images, and which were not.

I was quite confused about the process of referencing the images used in my mood boards, but after looking through the referencing guide, I found that all it really involved was referencing the source where the images could be found, rather than the specific images.
