Independent Project: Creating a Storyboard

Upon reviewing the work I did on the user narrative/journey the other day, it felt like something was missing. I also felt like what I had written did not adequately represent the experience I wanted to create.

To solve this problem, I decided that some visual aid would need adding in the form of a storyboard. I then created a set of six sketches to match up with each the text I had written previously:

1 - Start menu

2 - Beginning at entrance

3 - Front foyer/reception space

4 - Main hall

5 - 'Create your own piece' room

6 - Piece building process

The content of most sketches was pretty clear in my brain, except for the second sketch, which I went back and forth on a few times. I initially wanted it to be a unblurred version of sketch 1 with the start menu gone, but then decided to draw the building from a different angle to give a better idea of what it looked like. Once it was done though, I didn't really feel satisfied with how it was turning out, so I went back on my decision. Eventually I settled on making the final sketch a zoomed out shot of the building entrance.

I decided to keep the alternate version, just in case:
