On Monday 23rd we began going through the brief for the Independent Project and discussing ideas for what we could individually focus on producing at the end of the semester. There were a couple trains of thought my brain went in, VR, and Interactivity.
I was always curious about VR, and though I didn't have a headset myself, I had a cousin who did, and a few times I was able to try it for myself. In those few instances, I had quite a lot of fun with it and thought it would be cool if I made some type of VR experience myself.
I also thought back to the previous projects I enjoyed doing, and the Future Cities project came to mind. Not as much the Adobe Animate part, as using that software wasn't the part I enjoyed as much, but moreso the making of the individual pieces and the 3D mockups I created in Blender. Following on from this, maybe I could contruct an environment and make it explorable in VR.
I also thought of making 3D sculptures of some sort that a user could directly interact with. eg. drag to spin the piece around to see it from a different angle, press a button to pick it up, etc.
