Independent Project: Ideas development

After doing my research, I have gotten a better idea of what experience I would want to create in VR.

In the beginning I was thinking of overall vague concepts such as an explorable virtual world, maybe in some kind of city/urban environment. However now, I have identified the environment I want to create as an art gallery, which I could then populate with my own pieces, which could either be regular 2D pieces, or 3D sculptures modelled/arranged in a 3D program like Blender. 

One production process I could follow is to sculpt my 3D pieces and other major assets in Blender, then port them into a program like Unity, which I have already used quite a bit and, according to Steve, does have VR capabilities.

I would also like to use the inherent advantages of VR to give users the ability to manipulate the pieces in some way. Take for example, putting my sculptures/dioramas onto turntables the user could spin around with their controller, or allow the user to select the object to pick it up.
