My current idea for the game I want to create, is a solo journey through a cityscape late at night/early morning, when not as many people are around. I want it to be 2D and set from a side-scrolling perspective.
I'm thinking of using this as a chance to learn how to make pixel art, as I generally like games with this style and would like to try my hand at making my own game in the same style. I don’t plan to have any “enemies” in particular. The only forms of danger would be environmental. The player will have the ability to collect certain items. I'm not sure yet what these items will be, but I could include notes with text that you could read.

One particular idea I have in mind is a sequence taking place on a train as it goes through the city. As it goes through different stops, different passengers could get on and off. Maybe I could have conversations with them.
