Colour Grading

Today we were introduced to how to colour grade videos in Adobe Premiere.

First we were shown a couple of videos that experimented with changing colour to give us an idea of what we could create. One of these videos was a music video by David Bowie called 'Ashes to Ashes'

The footage I decided to use to test colour grading on was the background footage I used for the Greenscreen project last semester. The main effects we used for this were 'Colour replace' and 'Colour Balance'.

I also experimented with overlaying clips at different speeds to see how it would affect the image.

We were encouraged not to use the 'Lumetri Colour' filter, as it could mess with the black parts of the videos and degrade their quality.

I played with a few different clips, and was able to create some results I liked a lot.

This video had to be cut short slightly due its large file size.
